Pink upcycled handbag with birds

CHF72.80

Pink upcycled handbag with birds. Handmade shoulder bag of upcycled mattress vintage fabric and patchwork fabric.  Especially relevant is the colorful and unique patchwork fabric with birds and flowers, as well as the lining in turquoise cotton fabric. Nice details like rivets for added resistance. This is a medium sized messenger style bag with a true cross body length adjustable strap in pink. There is one pocket in the lining to keep your smaller items separated and easy to find. In addition, it has a zipper to close for more security. Also, all areas of the handbag are interfaced and the lining has a layer of fleece to give it structure.

This handbag is inspired in leather briefcases that were used to go to school in the 60s and 70s. It has been made by hand with great dedication by women in our studio in Sant Julià de Vilatorta (Barcelona). We try to respect a sustainable production process working with upcycling fabrics.

Care instructions: Hand wash in cold water and press with hot iron if necessary. Don’t use dryer machine. Air dry.

  • More than a sustainable fashion label

At Irema Slow fashion we make an effort to be an eco-sustainable brand:

    • We work with local communities and we look for sustainable and socially responsible products with a fair price for all.
    • As we defend a slow fashion, we are not obsessed in producing in a wide scale. We avoid overproduction by reducing waste.
    • We sell on line avoiding the costs produced by the bricks-and-mortar stores as well as the waste produced by them.
    • We look for Fare Trade shops and eco concept stores to sell our products slow.
    • We are keen to keep our carbon footprint low during production and shipment. As we made our clothes in Europe, we prefer to use terrestrial transport to ship the majority our clothing from country to country.
    • We want to improve our impact on the environment and its community. We use certificate fabrics that are good for the earth and we use upcycling production cuttings
    • We use recyclable and/or upcycled shipping materials and recyclable stationery.
